Research Overview
My primary interest is the Design and Analysis of Algorithms. I am particularly interested in Machine Learning algorithms used for pattern matching and prediction.
Recently, my interests include applying machine learning algorithms to problems in Bioinformatics, specifically, sequence alignment of DNA and secondary structure prediction of protein sequences.
Most recently, I have been experimenting with clustering algorithms that facilitate the structural analysis of protein sequences to help determine relationships between the primary structure and the 3D structure.
Professional Interests
I am interested in Web Design and Development. I am the webmaster for the Computer Science Department and I have assisted with a number of college-wide web design projects.
I am also interested in Management Information Systems.
