Question & Answer

What do you want to do when you finish graduate school?
My overall career aspirations are to obtain my Ph.D. in the Biological Sciences with a concentration in the field of Bioinformatics. I would like to one day use this degree to help locate the cause of and determine a cure for genetic disorders.

Did Siena adequately prepare you for graduate school?
...I felt that my preparation from Siena put me at an advantage over some of the other students in my program as far as the computational aspects go.

What was your favorite CS course?
Database and Advanced Database...I enjoyed these courses because the creation and searching of large scale databases directly relates to what I wanted to do with things such as DNA database searches for genetic disease characteristics.

Would you recommend Siena?
Yes...the programs offered are diverse and allow for individual specialization. The faculty and staff help to provide a solid academic environment while at the same time being friendly and helpful.
