Information Systems Certificate

Overview

The certificate in Information Systems is intented for those who do not wish to complete a Bachelors degree. The program requires only courses in computer science with a focus on applications and management. There are no liberal arts or natural science requirements for a certificate. This program is well-suited for those who already have a Bachelors degree.

Requirements

At least four of the courses must be completed at Siena College. The Computer Science courses may not be taken with the pass/fail option.

  • CSIS-201 Topics in Computer Science with Laboratory
  • CSIS-220 Computer Architecture and Assembly Language
  • CSIS-225 Object-Oriented Design and Programming
  • CSIS-350 Data Base Management
  • CSIS-400 Advanced Topics in Computer Science
  • CSIS-401 Advanced Topics in Computer Science with Laboratory
  • CSIS-410 Software Engineering I
  • CSIS-415 Software Engineering II
  • MATH-270 Mathematical Statistics I OR
    QBUS-200 Business Statistics I (but not both)
